Fleet Maintenance Supervisor
Qualifications
The City of Kearney, Public Works Department is looking for a highly organized, detail oriented individual to oversee the vehicle maintenance department. The ideal candidate will be able to perform and assign technical diagnosis and maintenance repairs on light and heavy-duty equipment within the City’s Vehicle Shop. Experience equivalent to six years as a journey-level diesel mechanic, including two years of work with vehicle-system diagnostic and automotive computer software and hardware with one year as a lead worker; OR a high school diploma/GED and vocational training in automotive/diesel mechanics may substitute for two years of the experience. Demonstrated proficiency with computerized systems including fleet maintenance software as well as Microsoft office and web-based applications. Requires a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a Nebraska CDL and Nebraska UST Operator Training Class A & Class B Certification within 6 months of hire. Salary range: $68,427 - $99,470, plus full benefits. Deadline: Open until filled. The City of Kearney is an EOE.
