First ever Nebraska Apprenticeship Summit hosted by local community colleges

KEARNEY, Neb. — Local community colleges, including Central, Northeast, and Southeast Community College, are seizing the opportunity to provide Nebraskans with hands-on experience in growing industries.
Governor Jim Pillen gave the opening address on the importance these summits will have for current and future generations. There were also words from Dr. Rebecca Lake, the leader of Apprenticeship USA and a nationwide speaker.
The Central Community College Apprenticeship Director said in a press release,
“This inaugural conference will bring Nebraska businesses and organizations together to learn, share ideas and highlight best practices for establishing and maintaining youth and adult registered programs.”
