KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Museum of Nebraska Art (MONA) announced the upcoming completion of the mass timber frame of the 23,000-square-foot addition to its existing building.
This accomplishment comes after the structural stair towers have been finished, and it clears the way for the construction of the expansion’s curtain wall. The usage of mass timber is new to the Kearney region and provides a durable, low-carbon substitute for conventional frame techniques while also combining sustainability, structural stability, and design flexibility.
