KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Kinkaider Brewing Company is moving its retail license from Grand Island to Kearney.
Kinkaider co-owner Cody Schmick said they are planning to open up a location right off of I-80 in Kearney.
Schmick said they are partnering with the Younes family to be a part of their complex, which continues to expand with hotels, restaurants and the new sports complex being built in that area.
“We have the opportunity to be a part of something much bigger,” he said.
Schmick made the announcement on Facebook Live Friday afternoon that they plan to build a location from the ground up with both Kinkaider and their other brand, Bierhaus, side-by-side.
“This is a new model for us,” Schmick said, describing the site’s layout as similar to Cunningham’s at the Lake, where seating overlooks the water.
Kinkaider’s new development will offer scenic lake views from the opposite shore.
